Yona Lotan, engineer and painter, born Lithuania 1926. Immigrated in 1936 with his family and settled in Tel Aviv. In 1950, after studying at the Technion, he joined the army, serving with the Engineering Corps until 1961. In the late 1950’s he began painting as a self-taught artist. In the early 1960s went to Paris to paint, self-taught. Died 1998.
